We continue to work with international partners to study the impact of music on urban economies

Our project "The European Music Policy Exchange" continues to explore how music influences urban socio-economic processes. Over several months, we have been researching the music landscape with representatives from other European and other countries, meeting in working groups and assessing different criteria, to produce Europe's first "Music City Policy Handbook". The handbook will present best practices, experiences from European cities and recommendations on how to better integrate the music sector into the city's overall processes.

"This is the first project in Europe to assemble music professionals from so many different countries, working together in workshops that will provide us all with a valuable new set of opportunities to improve future cooperation between the sector and policy makers," said Lena Ingwersen, Executive Director of the Music Cities Network.
