Liepāja 2027 Foundation announces two new vacancies

Foundation “Liepāja 2027” (Liepāja 2027) has announced two vacancies for the positions of Project Manager and Cooperation Projects Liaison Officer.

The Foundation “Liepāja 2027” opens these vacancies for two new professionals to carry out specific functions and responsibilities to ensure the full success of the Foundation’s activities, to implement various international projects such as CreArt 3.0 and other project activities of the European Capital of Culture 2027 programme.

The Project Manager’s main task will require the management of “Liepāja 2027” cooperation projects. The potential candidate should have an understanding of the project, aims and objectives of Liepāja as the European Capital of Culture 2027, art, and culture processes in Latvia and on the international stage, an understanding of the principles of culture in the public sector, experience in project planning, implementation, etc. Candidates are expected to have worked on or led cultural projects at national and international level.

The main responsibilities of the Cooperation Projects Liaison Officer include the implementation of the “Liepāja 2027” cooperation projects communication.  The candidate should have an understanding of the project, aims and objectives of Liepāja as the European Capital of Culture 2027, possess skills in developing and implementing communication and media plans for various cooperation projects, know-how and experience in ensuring communication of cooperation projects, ability to implement cooperation projects at national and international level, etc.

We are looking for a full-time Project Manager with 1800 euros pre-tax salary and a 0,5 part-time Cooperation Projects Liaison Officer with 800 euros pre-tax salary.

The main purpose of the Foundation “Liepāja 2027” is to organise the preparation for the Liepāja Birthday in the year 2025 and the European Capital of Culture in the year 2027, which will include a comprehensive programme of events between 2023 and 2028. The project will cover cross-sectoral activities, contribute to the socio-economic growth of the city, attract international attention, promote tourist flow, develop the creative industries sector, and implement cooperation projects with the public, private and non-governmental sectors, attract financial resources from various financial sources, including European Union funds and the private sector.
