The international festival of form art "FACT-FORM" is currently taking place in Klaipeda, with its flagship exhibition created by Latvian sculptor Egons Peršēvics. The exhibition in the Klaipeda Exhibition Hall is open until 13 August.
To make this exhibition in Klaipeda, Egons Peršēvics was invited by the festival's curator Neringa Poškutė-Jukumienė. "Egons' works stand out in the exhibition I am curating, which is exactly what I had in mind. Lithuanian artists frequently focus on the manipulation of materials and the transformation of forms in their work. Egon's art is the opposite - it is not traditionally realistic and does not focus only on semantic content related to mythology, social life and global issues. The bold use of bright colours sets him apart from other artists, making his participation in this festival exceptionally striking. Monumentality often demands craftsmanship, mastery that Egon possesses.
The sculptor not only brought his large-scale sculptures to Lithuania, but also smaller sculptural works.
