A volume of articles on the Duchy of Courland and the history of Kuldīga is published

The Kuldīga Municipality Museum in cooperation with the Kuldīga Municipality has published a volume of articles focusing on the history of the Duchy of Courland and Kuldīga.

The new edition explores aspects of the political and military history of the Duchy of Courland and Semigallia, the intellectual life and the publishing industry, as well as the Duchy's heritage in present day Kurzeme. A central chapter is devoted to the history of Kuldīga Castle and the town, as well as the testimonies of the Duchy that are still preserved in the town's urban environment.
