This weekend, the Baltics’ largest beach festival “Summer Sound 2023” made another record-breaking attendance this weekend with two days of live concerts by more than forty local and international musicians. While the exact number is yet to be confirmed but it is certainly exceeding last year’s 40 000 guests.
The festival's second night headliners included neighbouring Estonia’s leading new talent NOËP, Latvia’s very own hip hop star Gustavo, the forever young “Labvēlīgais Tips”, who brought down the house with an epic performance that had all ages singing and dancing along during the hour-long concert, and one of the world's hottest DJs of the moment, Germany’s Felix Jaehn.
The beach’s “Flor De Cana” and Seaside Park's “Mežpils” and “Ekstravaganza” stages featured a string of talented local and international musicians, who presented no less colourful and exciting performances: Ewert And The Two Dragons, The Sudden Lights, ZEĻĢIS, Ozols, Wiesulis, Pirmais Kurss, Prusax, Fēlikss Ķiģelis, Lapsene, Čipsis & Dullais, Indygo, Finķis & PRAGAII, ZARI, Planeta Polar (LT), Shishi (LT), Lucid Kidd (LT), and many more.
In "Klubs ++" club, both the new generation of Latvian DJs and the already established and popular artists performed their DJ sets.
Volleyball tournament, cinema screenings in the Cinema Tent, Festival Bazaar, Children's Campus and many other entertainment options took place during the day, letting visitors plan the best summer adventure as they like.
