Seniors from Liepaja and South Kurzeme Municipality are invited to apply for Christmas creative workshops

Liepaja City Education administration’s Educational development and methodological support centre’s Personal development and improvement department in cooperation with the pre-school educational institution “Prātnieks” and Liepaja Youth House invites seniors to apply for Christmas creative workshops in December.

During the creative workshops, you will have the opportunity to learn new skills, make gifts for yourself and your loved ones, work together with children and young people:

• On 1.12.2022. at 11.00 “Christmas gift stocking sewing workshop”, workshop manager Kristīne Liepiņa, at Peldu iela 5, Liepaja.

During the workshop, you will be able to create your own Christmas gift stocking to make yourself or a loved one happy for the festive season. Bringing scissors and a willingness to work required.

• On 6.12.2022. at 11.00 “Gift wrapping workshop”, workshop manager Zigrīda Mantaja, at Peldu iela 5, Liepaja.

During the workshop, you will be able to learn how to beautifully wrap gifts and learn about different herbal teas that can be useful as a festive gift. Bringing scissors is required and, if you have one, a gift you would like to wrap during the workshop.

• On 7.12.2022. at 17.00 “Soap making workshop”, workshop manager Baiba Griezīte, in cooperation with the young people of Liepaja Youth House, at Kungu iela 24, Liepaja.

During the workshop, along with young people, you will be able to learn everything about soap making – the ingredients needed in the soap making process and how to practically make soap. After making the soap, you will have the opportunity to learn how to wrap it beautifully as a Christmas gift.

• On 9.12.2022. at 10.00 “Gingerbread workshop”, workshop manager Agnese Lejniece and students of the older groups and teachers of the pre-school educational institution “Prātnieks”, at Koku iela 10, Liepaja.

During the workshop, along with children from the pre-school educational institution “Prātnieks”, you will be able to bake gingerbread cookies, decorate them and read Christmas stories together. Bring an apron and a willingness to work creatively with children.
