Liepāja 2027 Invites to a Discussion on the Development of the Volunteer Program

To mark International Volunteer Day, on Thursday, December 5, at 14:30, the Foundation “Liepāja 2027” invites everyone interested to join an event aimed at discussing the creation of the Liepāja 2027 Volunteer Program. The event will take place at the Liepāja 2027 office, Dārza Street 4/8, 2nd floor.

This program is envisioned as an essential part of fostering community involvement and enriching cultural life, providing opportunities for individuals in Liepāja, South Kurzeme, and Kuldīga regions to join the Liepāja 2027 Volunteer Movement. During the event, experienced volunteers will share their insights, and the Liepāja 2027 team will outline potential opportunities to become part of this initiative.

The day’s program will consist of two parts. The first part will include discussions and an exchange of ideas and suggestions on how to structure volunteer work as part of the Liepāja 2027 program. The second part will feature a creative workshop where participants can craft eco-friendly gift wraps for the Elf Village initiative campaign, “Let’s Fill the Big Gift Bag.”

The goals of the Liepāja 2027 Volunteer Program are:

- to foster public participation in cultural life by providing opportunities to engage in event organization and strengthen connection to the city,
- to support the implementation of cultural activities by providing additional resources to various organizations and creative teams,
- to promote international experience exchange,
- to encourage personal growth and skills development,
- to raise public awareness about the importance of culture and enhance the image of Liepāja.
