LAMPA Conversation Festival is now open for applications

From 4 January to 8 February, you are welcome to register your event for the 9th LAMPA Conversation Festival, which also features the Stage of Regions.

This summer, the festival will take place on 9 and 10 June in Cēsis, gathering a range of panellists from across the spectrum of conversation formats to seek answers to questions affecting individual and societal issues.

This year, LAMPA once again challenges the imaginative minds of both organisations and individuals to be part of the festival programme. There is no limit to the topics, formats and participants, and anyone can submit their own event for one or one and a half hours, or an entire two-day programme.

As in previous years, the British Council Representation in Latvia is offering free participation in the Stage of the Regions to organisations and individuals living or working outside the city of Rīga, addressing issues and topics relevant to local communities in the Latvian regions.

In addition to applying to the Stage of Regions, which will offer free participation to the top selected ideas, there are three other opportunities to become a LAMPA event organiser.

You can either organise a two-day event programme or a single event on other stages provided by LAMPA. A new feature this year is the two-day activity option.

The festival is free to attend and its costs are mainly covered by grants, donations and co-payments from the event organisers.

The amount of the co-payment depends on the chosen stage and the time of the event, however everyone is welcome to apply for free participation.

All applications are subject to the call for entries, but please be advised that the number of Festival events is limited, hence the Festival team highly encourages potential partnerships in planning your application - you might want to consider co-organising your event with another organisation.

On 11 January at 16:00, all those who are looking into applying, are invited to a free online seminar on organising events held on the LAMPA Conversation Festival Facebook page.
